Every weekend everybody looks up
STARS FORETELL column in
newspapers and periodicals, and
everybody grumbles that it does
not come true, or its very
vague. But its not at all
surprising, if you know that you
are one amongst trillions born
under that sunsign, which is
used to predict the future, in
these columns. The sun stays in
one sign for full one month, and
repeats year after year, ever
since the universe was formed.
Just calculate how many, all
over the world, take birth under
any particular sign. They all
cannot have the same fate, and
its rare chance that the learned
astrologer preparing the week’s
chart, takes your natal chart as
model. And, that only can tell
whether sun is in a malefic
house, or benefic one; and if
the lord of that house is
malefic or benefic.
Another system that astrologers
use is by rashi , i.e. moonsign.
Moon stays in one sign for 2¼
days, but repeats 28th day. That
means, moon is in the same sign
for 30 days in a year, and
prediction suffers same handicap
as in case of sunsign. In
personal natal chart, though, it
is more accurate because degrees
change faster and sets you apart
from other people born in the
same sign.
The only way your future with
reasonable accuracy can be
predicted, is from your natal
chart, or janma kundli. It is
based on lagna or ascendant.
Lagna stays in one sign for
approximately two hours and
repeats every day. Thus, here
too are mind boggling number of
natives that are born under the
same lagna every year, and year
after year. But from the natal
chart prepared from lagna, a
learned astrologer knows where
each planet is placed and what
are the aspects and influences
on it. In addition, it tells the
degrees of the houses and the
planets, ascertaining their
strength and weakness, as well
as, if by virtue of occupancy,
or lordship of certain house, it
is malefic or benefic. Most
important are the degrees of
moon in a particular sign of the
natal chart, from which are
calculated the dasa or period.
In the natal chart, there are
six benefic houses and six are
malefic; there are five benefic
planets and four malefic. They
all play a vital role in
determining the future of the
native. A benefic planet placed
in a malefic house will not give
that good result and vice-versa.
The lordship of the house too is
an important factor. Except Sun
and Moon, which own only one
house, Rahu and Ketu own none,
all other planets own two houses
each; and their weakness or
strength affect the life and
future, during their mahadasas
and antar, pratyantar (sub and
sub-sub periods).
So, the only way to know your,
and yours, life and future is to
have your native chart cast,
with degrees of planets and
houses, and dasas calculated.
Now computers do it in a jiffy,
at a reasonable cost. Then a
good astrologer, will foretell
your personalized future, with
reasonable accuracy. STARS WILL
