A One Faced Rudraksha

The King of Rudraksh beads is the Ek Mukhi Rudraksha bead/One Faced Rudraksha bead. The individual who has in possession the Great Ek Mukhi is considered to be most fortunate. This bead is capable of giving all pleasures-material as well as spiritual.

Unfortunately due to it's great demand and shortage of natural beads traders engage in unscrupulous practices such as closing the faces of the three faceted bead to make it look like like the Ek Mukhi.

Traders also engage in artificial price rise tactics. How many times have you crossed the lanes of Haridwar where such traders are abundant and promise to give you the Divine Ek Mukhi Rudraksha.

These traders carve figures such as Om and Snakes on this bead to fool the unsuspecting people.

This bead is available in two shapes. One is perfectly round. This bead is very rare and is generally available with the spiritual masters and yogis. The other is the cashew nut shaped bead. Though this is available it is also very expensive.

Ruled by the Sun the Ek Mukhi Rudraksha is held to cure diseases such as right eye defect, migraines, heart disease, skin disease, bowl problem, fever, fistula, dyspepsia and lung diseases.

• The Ek Mukhi Rudraksha bead has a specific gravity of 1.2 and pH of 4.48.
  
  
• When the one faced Rudraksha bead is suspended in a strong inhomogeneous magnetic field of 10000 Gauss at Faraday Balance it is repelled from the strongest part of the field and exhibits a slight increase in weight suggesting paramagnetic properties. • Generally individuals do not wear it on the body but keep it in a Gold/Silver box after applying a tilak of Kumkum/Vermillion on it. It is passed on from one generation to the another and is indicative of the good fortune of the family.
