Comments	Malachite is a copper carbonate mineral, with the formula Cu2CO3(OH)2. This green-colored mineral crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system, and most often forms botryoidal, fibrous, or stalagmitic masses. Individual crystals are rare but do occur as slender to acicular prisms. Pseudomorphs after more tabular or blocky azurite crystals also occur. In Indian gemology, Malachite has been used since ages to heal in kidney related disorders, malfunctioning kidneys, kidney stone removal naturally, back pain as a result of malfunctioning kidneys etc. Notice the kidney like auric shape on the top table of this gem.
